Hello, friends! Happy Sunday! I’m back with my second Week In Review where I share some thoughts and feelings about the previous week with you. Thanks for your support for last week’s post! I really enjoy being able to share with you and it means a lot to me that you guys enjoy it, too. 🙂
Working On Time Management:
I’ve been concentrating specifically on time management recently in an effort to find the right balance between my internet life and my personal one. I talked last week about realizing I can’t possibly achieve all I think I should be able to in one day and that realistically I can do about half of that. I put this realization into play when making my daily to-do lists this past week and it’s feeling a lot more doable already. I think this is the first step in really figuring out a good schedule that suits me at the moment. I’ve been a busy litte bee trying to get some extra videos filmed, edited, and lined up for YouTube when I’m on vacation. I think I’ve really put my time to good use and am feeling productive as opposed to overwhelmed by the end of the day, more often than not. Of course, some days you just feel overwhelmed and that’s life, but I’m seeing a shift in the right direction for me.

Positively Polished, my new nail blog on Tumblr, is officially linked on OrganizedJen.com!
I’ve been enjoying my newest adventure, Positively Polished, my new nail blog on Tumblr, which has been up and running for over a week now. I posted most every day to catch up on my January and February #POTM (Polish Of The Moment) photos. Now that I’m caught up to current time I expect to post about twice a week on average with #POTMs, new polish launch info, and polish hauls. If you enjoy all things nail polish you should check it out!
TBBB Welcomes Don’s Cook Nooks:
Don and I introduced his first Cook Nook video this past week on TBBB, featuring his Greek Style Chicken Burgers. He makes this recipe for us about once every two or three weeks. It’s one of our favorites of late! I encourage you to check it out if you haven’t already. Don has a great cooking style, making tasty recipes with simple, clear instructions. He’s a natural!

Yummy Greek Style Chicken Burgers! Scary Jen faces!
I definitely felt the love this week with Don’s fabulous feast he prepared me for Valentine’s Day. He actually filmed some of his cooking process (I wasn’t allowed in the kitchen since the meal was a surprise) and we showed all of the finished courses (he made seven!) on my MHWL vlog, Valentine’s Day Feast (February 14, 2013). Between that and his first cook nook, Don received such a warm response from viewers he decided to open a YouTube account so that he could answer cooking related comments. He ultimately chose DisorganizedDon to be his YouTube username, since, as he likes to say, it playfully shows how the two of us keep the universe in balance. If you ever get a comment response from DisorganizedDon now you know it’s my cute husband being the sweetheart that he is!

Don’s fabulous Valentine’s Day feast!
Love Is In The Air:
I love Valentine’s Day, because I can go that extra mile to show my family how much I love them. I honestly believe in sharing love openly, honestly, and without holding back each and every day. Valentine’s Day just happens to be one of those special days of the year when I give extra tokens of my affection. I usually send flowers to all of our grandparents and I like to hand deliver sweet treats, cards, & bouquets to our close by relatives. In addition to a personal gift, I make a handmade Valentine for Don every year. This annual Valentine making tradition also serves the purpose of reminding me how much I enjoy crafting and how I wish I made more time for it. I find it very grounding to work with my hands on a focused activity such as making cards. It’s a bit of a gift to myself every Valentine’s Day to set aside the time to make a card for my very sweet husband.

My Valentine for Don this year. I loved writing a tiny letter in tiny handwriting for the last page for his eyes only!
I am so blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing family, whom I get to spend quality time with on a regular basis. We celebrated my MIL Suzanne’s birthday with a lovely family party yesterday at Don’s sister and her husband’s house. Everyone pitched in, as we are wont to do, with the food, decorations, and party spirit to make the celebration a real group effort. Don and I had brunch at my parent’s house this morning and then my Mom & I spent a lovely afternoon together downtown to see the Joffrey Ballet’s American Legends program. It was amazing, just as I have come to expect from the Joffrey. Nothing beats a weekend spent with my loved ones!
It’s definitely been a better week for me in terms of feeling prepared, productive, and happy with my life and my choices. I’m very much looking forward to our upcoming Disney World trip and running in the Princess Half Marathon next Sunday! I can’t wait to share our adventures with you, as always. Thanks for sharing the love with me and making my Valentine’s Day and week all the more sweet! ❤
