Sigma Defining Eyes Palette

I’ve been enjoying pairing videos with blog posts for my organizational topics lately and decided it might be fun to do so with some of my other types of topics as well.  I featured the Sigma Defining Eyes Palette in my most recent target=”_blank”>Current Look video on TBBB.  It’s kind of hard to see the palette up close in the video so I took some photos to supplement.OJ|TBBB 4:12:2013_1The palette includes eight neutral based eye shadows, ranging from lighter highlighters to warm browns and cooler toned shades to create a smoky affect.

There are also two gel liners, one black and the other brown, as well as a dual-ended eyeliner pencil with a brightening white and a vivid sapphire blue.  The palette also includes a dual-ended brush, including an E55 Eye Shading side and an E30 Pencil side.

OJ|TBBB 4:12:2013_2I’ve been using the more neutral shades in this palette as well as the brown gel liner for my go-to look recently.  If you decide you’d like top pick up this palette, you can receive 10% off your entire purchase by entering the code AAM2013 during checkout (good from April 1 – April 30, 2013).  Sigma will also send a free gift with any purchase over $30, which right now is a travel size E05 Eye Liner brush.

Check out the video (shown before) where I walk you though my current look.  There’s also information about a giveaway at the end of the video!  (FYI – You must leave a comment on the video’s webpage to be entered to win in the giveaway.)

I’m considering hosting the majority of my giveaways on my blog from now on instead of through comment entries on my videos.  I feel like it will be easier for me to keep track of entries and will allow people to make personal comments on my videos without the interference of a giveaway.  If I chose to do this, I will always announce the giveaway in the video and of course link to the blog post in the more info bar on the video page for easy entry.  I’m interested in your opinion, as always.  Leave a comment if you’d like!  Thanks  🙂

*I am a Sigma affiliate, which means I earn a commission from any sales made from the links I provide.  The Sigma eyeshadow base and coordinating brush shown in the video were sent to me for consideration.  I purchased all other Sigma products shown.  This is not a sponsored video.  All opinions are my own.*

  1. I think it’s a great idea to host the contests on your blog. As a blogger myself sometimes it’s easier for me to read a blog post than watch a video. BTW I love your spring look. I am so ready for spring.

  2. Hi Jen
I have stumbled upon your videos and love them. I live in the UAE living the expat life for the past eleven years and go through times when I miss home. Utah is so much like Colorado love the rookies and love all of your haul videos as it helps me make my lists for when I will visit home. Keep posting love the freshness of your videos and feels like a girlfriend letting me know what is new out there. Thank you so much for a touch of home

  3. Hola, me encanto tu look!.

  4. Since your gel liner dried out a bit, you can pop it into the microwave for about 30sec and it will go back to the way it was. I got that tip from gossmakeupartist on YT.

  5. Those seem like great colors that anyone could use. I’ve never used gel liner before though. Is it difficult to apply?

I say do what is easiest for you on the giveaways. I honestly don’t know how you keep up with all of this stuff. So make it easy on yourself! 🙂

    1. Like any type of eye liner, learning how to apply gel liner well takes time and practice (and patience!). I actually find it easier to control than pencils or liquid liners.

  6. I don’t know if you can order things from the Netherlands because i don’t know if the stores will ship it. But if they do, I have the Rimmel blush from your video myself and they have a lot of color options here in the Netherlands. Plus i can find them in a lot of stores here.

  7. My go to eye product is the Master Precise liner by EYESTUDIO Maybelline. It glides on and does not flake or smudge!

  8. I love reading your blog as well as watching your videos but if it’s easier to have the giveaways on your blog then go for it! I like the way you apply your eyemake up with the darker shade on the outer corner – I am still trying to perfect this 🙂

  9. i don’t mind where you do your giveaways but if you do them on your blog, please do Rafflecopter. i have special settings on my computer so sometimes i can’t comment on your blogposts which sucks if i want to enter a giveaway. and if you do use Rafflecopter, please don’t make commenting on the blogpost part of the giveaway; i liked the way you did it for Vlogidays 🙂

  10. oh my what a beautiful pallet! I love your make up tutorial on this, it looks stunning on you!
Hugs to you and can’t wait for the next video!
I would love to see more of you shopping and what you pick and why at Whole Foods, I picked up a Pacifica lotion and I love love love it!!!!

Blessings always Jen, thanks for sharing your journey with us all!

    xoxo

  11. Jen, I love this sigma combo – putting money together to purchase it for myself, the pacakging looks really good too. Plus it looks like you could totally recyvle the box once one is done with all the products. Thank you for sharing.

  12. Hi there! I just stumbled across your YouTube channel and a link to this blog and I was drawn in instantly and wanted to say how generous I think it is of you to spend your own money to treat a couple of your followers. In this economy, I’m sure you have many things you you could use that money for yourself. You seem to instantly turn strangers into friends. Thank you so much!!!!
