It’s pregnancy update time! In my weekly update I share what’s happening in my pregnancy journey with you. This includes general stats such as how I’m feeling, any symptoms I’m experiencing, food cravings and aversions, weight gain, bump shots, etc., as well as what’s going on in my life that’s pregnancy-related and any baby things we’ve purchased or received as gifts. Here’s the scoop at 29 weeks:
Here’s the current status:
❊ How Far Along – 29 weeks (3rd Trimester)
❊ Baby Size Comparison – Head of Cabbage (really?) (17″ Head to Toe and 2.9 pounds)
❊ Movement – I notice Baby Girl moving mostly before and after meals. I’ve also noticed what I think are hiccups, which feels like a lighter, more rhythmic kind of movement.
❊ Symptoms – I came down with a cold last week, but fortunately it was very mild. I’m already 99% better!
❊ Physical Changes – A bit of belly growth. Nothing huge, but definite progress!
❊ Weight Gain – 0 pounds (22 total)
❊ Mood – I had a really good week despite feeling a bit under the weather.
❊ Sleep – Most nights I sleep about 9 hours. It’s heavenly!
❊ Food Cravings – Cereal still has my heart. I’m also loving the Talenti Pumpkin Pie Gelato for an occasional treat.
❊ Food Aversions – Fish and Chinese Food (but mostly just the smell).
❊ Missing – Running. Just a little bit. Fall has always been my favorite time to run outside. I stopped running when I conceived on the advice of my healthcare practitioners and I decided to stick with low impact exercise for the duration of my pregnancy. I hope to pick it back up again next spring.
❊ Looking Forward To – My last trip before baby. Technically I’m cleared to fly up until 36 weeks, but I figured now would be a good time for my last trip pre-baby, especially with the busy holidays right around the corner. I’m going to a spa for a bit of R&R before the holiday craze and baby time.
❊ This Week’s Happenings – We had the baby’s room painted in Benjamin Moore Lambskin. I love the way it turned out! It comes off much pinker in photos and videos than in person, but it does have a warmer tone. I like to think of it as a soft almond color. It feels very cozy even with no furniture and two big bright windows, which is what I was aiming for. We had the closet doors replaced from wide swing outs to an accordion style that takes up much less room when open. They look lovely! I also ordered some rug and window treatment swatches from RH Baby & Child and am hoping to narrow down those choices by the end of the week. Things are coming together!

I purchased a couple of cute handmade maternity holiday shirts from a chop on Etsy called MommasCraftCorner, including the Disney Inspired Mickey Pumpkin Halloween Maternity Shirt and the Disney Inspired Christmas Mickey Maternity Shirt shown above. The owner was super sweet about my request to tweak the design so that the Halloween one reads “Our Little Pumpkin” and the Christmas one says “Jingle Baby.” I just love Etsy for finding cute and unique items like these!
I’ve also picked up some other fall and winter maternity clothes that I plan on sharing in a haul soon.
Stay tuned 🙂
