Posting Update | Out Of Commission

Hello, friends!  I wanted to give an update on my posting (or lack thereof) for the remainder of this week.  Unfortunately, I threw out my back on Tuesday morning and am out of commission in the office purging / filming / editing department for the time being.  I am forced to take the rest of the week off of my planned posts and videos, sadly, due to my lack of mobility.

stuck in bed

This has been my view this week and as much as I love extra snuggle time with my pup, I am itching to get back to my usual routine.  I am not generally one to sit still for long!  I hope to be up and at ’em again next week, but in the meantime I appreciate your patience as I take a short hiatus from my content to get better.

I hope you all have a great rest of your week and a lovely weekend.  See you soon!

  1. Praying for a speedy recovery. I have lumbar degenerative disc disease so I know just how bad that feels. This rain in Texas everyday doesn’t make it any better either sadly. I sought out acupuncture in the past to block the pain and it has worked for years and it only took two visits for me. Now I only have problems like you are experiencing every once in a while and thankfully it doesn’t last too long. I have been told by my PT movement is the best practice but find it difficult to do with the increase in pain. I found a gym with a heated pool and that seems to do wonders. Blessings to you.

  2. Get your rest and heal.
I hope you are back to your buzy bee self soon.

    ))))HUGS(((( to you and Winnie.

  3. Jen, hope you are up and about soon. I feel your pain as I was dealing sciatica nerve issues several weeks ago myself. Take care of yourself enjoy the downtime and I look forward to seeing you and your videos very soon.

  4. Get well soon. I feel your pain and know that these periods of rest can be frustrating. Hang in there and enjoy the wonderful care your darling husband and fur baby want to give to you. Be well!!

  5. Ouch! I hope you feel better soon Jen! I’m about a week into an Achilles injury that has me out of commission too and it’s driving me nuts. Wishing us both a speedy recovery xx

  6. feel better soon! you soon will be up and at it and full of energy !
I have been loving the purge videos, I have been purging and making dents in some of my closets.

  7. Hi Jen
I am so sorry for your injury and pray that you have a speedy recovery! I know exactly how you feel about being injured and unable to be sitting still and not doing anything. In the fall of 2013, I broke two of toes and sprained my ankle; and all of this happened after my big 10k race! I was unable to do any intense physical activity, such as running, for 7 weeks! Once I was recovering, I had your videos that kept me entertained. I have a question for you: I’m about to start my declutter and organisation of my personal spaces: my bedroom and my bathroom… I’ve decided to start a new blog posts series, focusing on my declutter and organisation efforts. How would I be able to share my projects with you throughout social media? How is it that I should handle the negativity that I will have to deal with? Should I ignore it or should I directly confront the people that are mean to me?
    Thanks for your help
    Take care of yourself
    Katherine M.

    1. You can always share content with me by tagging me on social media. As for dealing with negativity…sadly it’s always going to be there. I personally find it best to just let complaining ducks quack to themselves and not engage them, because most of the time they only want to stir the pot and will not listen to and accept your explanations. That’s a personal choice though and you have to figure out what works best for you.

  8. Hope you are feeling better soon! It is tough not being able to accomplish your plans in time, but try to enjoy the rest and downtime that you are having at least! Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙂

  9. Wish you a speedy recovery,I m really sa to hear that your back is painfull, and I wish you all the best!
    And tobeon feet soon.
    Have a happy friday!

  10. Ooooh! You poor thing! You must be in quite a bit of pain- I get the sense you don’t let much hold you down. At least you and Don can enjoy each others company as he is still recovering- hopefully you have a good movie selection. Either that or we’ll be hearing a lot from your Book Nook in the near future 😉
Praying that you’ll both heal quickly!

  11. Please don’t be hard on yourself and take all the rest you need for a smooth and full recovery!
We’ll be patiently looking forward to your new posts!

    xxx

  12. Please do take care of yourself!
We’ll only go through withdraw for a few days 🙂
I just came across your YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago when I was searching “organization” and have enjoyed every single post since.
Hope you are up and about soon.
    Take care,
    Vicki

  13. Hi Jenn! Big hugs to you. I hope you feel better soon! You have to try and relax so your body can heal. But I know you know that, lol! And I know it’s easier said than done when you have a family and things to do! I can’t even lie. You’re vlogs are my little guilty pleasures! At the end of the day once I’ve put my girls to bed, I just relax for an hour with a snack and hang out with your family! So I guess my point is that so many of us think you’re awesome and love your videos! I’ve just been playing catch up on old ones since you’re not feeling good. And I love it!! We’ll be here when you get back b/c you inspire us and make us want to be better people! Now relax! And get well! We can’t have you and Don falling apart at the same time, lol!!

  14. Hi Jen,
I don’t know if you are checking this but I do hope you feel better. When I saw how many steps you had with your fitbit out of the box, I was she truly is a busy bee. So, I hope you are not going too stir crazy. And hope you are up and bouncing around soonish.

A quick question. I am finally ready to buy some make up brushes. I got overwhelmed by the choice then remembered you are into brushes. Do you have an affiliate link or something like that I can use? I take so much of your advice but am rarely able to use one of your links that can benefit you. Often taking suggestions that you don’t have links for. The Sigma thing on the site did not look like a referral link to me.

    1. It’s very sweet of you to want to support my content. The Sigma banner on the sidebar contains my affiliate link if you’re interested. I hope you purchase what you truly want though and not something just because I linked it. Happy shopping!

      1. Ha Ha…I did. There was a sale so I chose the travel kit. I really just wanted basic everyday but useful items (mostly for eyes). Plus, smaller sized. Tough choice in deciding which color and whether or not to go bunny. This might crack you up but so far I can get my make up into that Vera Bradley 3-1-1 case (no longer available??) Hope you are feeling better.

  15. Get better soon Jen. I am a new viewer to the vlog scene and I love your stuff. I have tested the walking pharmacy now for 2 weeks and I am hooked. I actually made 3 for my best friend and her 2 daughters as a gift before our St Thomas trip. Looking forward to more packing and shopping and popsugar boxes videos. Keep up the good work.

  16. I hope you feel better soon, Jen!

Now you have time to watch a lot of episodes of your favorite series 😉
