October 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box

This subscription is so much fun!  If you’re unfamiliar, PopSugar Must Have is a monthly subscription service where you receive a selection of full size and premium beauty, fashion, home, and fitness items for $39.95 per month (this includes shipping and is available in the US only).

The October box theme is inspired by “tricks & treats, cat eyes, moonlight, getting cozy, and pumpkin spice,”  Yep, that pretty much sums it up!  I feel like the theme this month in particular is really well suited to the season.  As usual, there is a nice variety of items in this box ranging from beauty to leisure.

What’s in my October box?

Happy Socks Animal Socks – I love these fun leopard print socks!  I’m not usually a fan of high socks except for in boot weather, and what do you know, ’tis the season!  These socks feel extra cushy.  I think they will keep my feet warm and comfy inside my boots this fall and winter.  Suggested Retail: $12

Dean & Deluca Pumpkin Spice Malt Balls – What’s screams October more than pumpkin spice and candy?  These tasty malt balls have a unique twist with the delicious pumpkin spice coating.  Yum!  Suggested Retail: $5.75

Mine Design Chalkboard Candle – I tend to burn candles much more frequently in the cooler months, so this candle is a very timely gift for me!  The pomegranate scent is lovely for fall.  I love that you can decorate the chalkboard coated candle holder with the included chalk as well.  Suggested Retail: $24

K. Hall Designs Shoreline She Butter/Olive Oil Soap – One of the special extras this month is this lovely bar of soap that’s practically brick sized.  The delightfully refreshing scent paired with the rich and moisturizing formula makes for a luxurious lather.  Suggested Retail: $10

Nailed Kit Halloween Decals – I love these fun Halloween themed nail decals!  It will certainly make creating a festive Halloween manicure much easier for me, as I tend to fail miserably at nail art.  They seem easy to apply, as well, just like a temporary tattoo.  Suggested Retail: $8

Isaac Jacobs International Acrylic Frame – This thick acrylic frame has a magnetic closure that makes it super easy to swap out photos at your favorite spot in the house.  Its sized perfectly to fit 4″ x 6″ photos.   Suggested Retail: $36

butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil – This super creamy eye pencil has a special fall/winter twist with its dark grey hue.  With a slight shimmer, this pencil glides smoothly over the eyelid.  I’m excited to add this to my fall and winter makeup rotation!  Suggested Retail: $18

The Blue Jean Bar Blue Jean Box – PopSugar included a special coupon for $40 off your BJB Express Box as another special extra this month.  This monthly subscription service sends hand-picked outfits featuring jeans.  Once you recieve the box you decide if you want to purchase any of the included items and then send what you don’t want back.  What an interesting concept!

  1. Yeah, thank you! Those things are definitely my style.

I chose “something else” in the poll for what I love about October. My favorite thing is seeing everyones houses decorated! My parents do an amazing job as well.

  2. Nice of you to pass these cute things along!

My favorite fall activity is going to the amazing haunted houses in LA. With all the movie and tv people around here, we get some pretty amazing shows.

  3. Our October tradition is to make our Christmas cake during Halloween week every year! We “feed” it with brandy or whiskey every few days until we decorate it the week before Christmas! Love your blog and videos Jen! Many thanks for the hours of entertainment you give me 🙂

  4. My favourite October activity is anything that keeps me cool. So mostly swimming, but only late in the evening or early in the morning. It’s too hot otherwise down here in Oz!

  5. Super les box! ici en France nous avons peu de choses de ce genre, dommage, car c’est très original comme procédé.
je participe si c’est possible, merci pour toutes ces vidéos, merci caresse à Winnie

  6. Hi Jen! Did you notice how well your eye look matched the scarf? You looked fabulous! What shadows are you wearing in this video? I have the same scarf and now I have to try and get that eye look when I wear it. 🙂

    1. Thanks! I picked my eyeshadow based on my shirt but that worked well with the scarf too. I’ve been really into the Lorac Pro palettes this month. I use shadows from both for this look.
