My Nighttime Skincare Routine

I get a lot of questions about my skincare routines and decided an update was due on TBBB.  I split it up into two videos, one for my nighttime routine and the other for my morning one.  I’m including photos and links to all of the products I am currently using and loving in my nighttime skincare routine here.  Stay tuned for my morning skincare routine post, coming up next.

Shiseido The Makeup Facial Cotton (photo source), Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover (photo source), up&up Makeup Removing Cleaning Wipes (photo source)

I start off my nighttime skincare routine by removing my makeup.  I don’t wear makeup every day, but on the days that I do, I use Shiseido Facial Cottons with Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover to neatly remove my eye makeup.  I purchase both of these from Sephora.  I love the up&up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes from Target to remove any face makeup.  I do these steps before cleansing my skin.

Clarisonic Plus Sonic Skin Cleansing System (photo source), Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea (photo source), Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Treatment Lotion (photo source)

I absolutely love Origins products, which I have been a loyal fan of for the past several years.  I like using the Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser to wash my face at night.  On the days I’ve worn makeup I use a Clarisonic Plus face brush to get a gentle deep clean.  This really works to get all of the makeup off my face.  You’d be surprise what comes off with the face brush even after using makeup remover!  I use the sensitive skin brush heads for my Clarisonic, which I typically replace every two to three months.  I’ve had my Clarisonic for several years now.  I originally purchased it from Ulta, but I’ve also seen it for sale at Sephora and department stores.  I follow up the cleanser with toner.  I use the Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Treatment Lotion (which acts as a toner) and my favorite Shiseido Facial Cottons to apply this to my skin.

Lush Grease Lightning Tea Tree Cleanser (photo source) & Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum (photo source)

LUSH Grease Lightning Tea Tree Cleanser (photo source) & Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum (photo source)

I use LUSH’s Grease Lighting as a spot treatment for active breakouts and as a preventative measure on parts of my face that are prone to breakouts, such as my chin, upper lip, and forehead.  Tea Tree oil is a natural antibacterial agent that works great as an acne spot treatment.  I use a very small amount of this (a little goes a long way) and let it dry compltely before applying my nighttime serum, Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum.

Origins Eye Doctor Moisture Care for Skin Around Eyes (photo source) & Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream (photo source)

Origins Eye Doctor Moisture Care for Skin Around Eyes (photo source) & Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream (photo source)

I prefer to use thicker moisturizers at night.  Skin does most of its repairing while you sleep, which gives the products a chance to have a deeper effect.  I love Origin’s Eye Doctor and High-Potency Night-A-Mins, because they are rich creams that absorb nicely into the skin without feeling thick or oily on my face.

LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub (photo source) & Honey Trap Lip Balm (photo source)

LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub (photo source) & Honey Trap Lip Balm (photo source)

I consider taking care of my lips to be an important part of my skincare routine.  I like to exfoliate them every other night using LUSH’s Mint Julips Lip Scrub.  I follow up with the Honey Trap Lip Balm for a great overnight lip treatment that isn’t too thick or oily, but still has great staying power.  I use this on the nights I don’t exfoliate as well.

Bliss Steep Clean Mask (photo source) & Glitzy-Glam Waffle Weave Head Band (photo source)

Bliss Steep Clean Mask (photo source) & Glitzy-Glam Waffle Weave Head Band (photo source)

I use the Bliss Steep Clean Mask twice a week to keep my skin feeling soft and looking radiant.  I also want to mention the Glitzy-Glam Waffle Weave Head Bands, which I use throughout my entire skincare routine morning and night to keep my hair off my face and out of the way.

That’s all of the products I use for the nighttime skincare routine I’ve been following recently.  For more details about my routine, check out the video below.  Stay tuned for a post featuring my morning skincare routine products with a coordinating video.

    2. Jen thanks to you my favourite skincare is origins. I’ve been using it for 6 months and have only good things to say.

  2. I have only ever tried a few skincare brands but my favorite is Liz Earle. It can be a little pricey but natural ingredients are definitely worth it as well as no animal testing. I have heard a lot of good things about Origins and it will be on my list of things to try 🙂

  3. I love Lush skin are products.. My favorite is the Celestial face lotion… It smells heavenly and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and feeling amazing!

  5. Yay, I love the scrub from Lush but I have the popcorn one! Deeelish!

I’m really into my RMK cleansing balm at the moment!

  6. I use CVS’s oil free acne wash almost every day. It is a cream product and leaves the face feeling refreshed, while taking care of occasional breakouts.

  7. This was very educational. It’s inspiring me to do better….even though I do not go to bed EVER without cleansing or moisturizing, it would be good to include some of these other steps in my routine. :O)

  8. Hey Jen – at 24 I’ve only just started to get into skin care. I love Johnsons daily exfoliator followed by their day moisuriser. I also love lush lip scrub and have it in bubblegum but love the mint one – it reminds me of after eights (do you have those in america?) would love ti try some organics stuff as have heard lots of things about them 🙂 xxx

  9. I use so many of these products! I can’t wait to try the lush lip products and I might even try the Bliss mask. Thanks for posting!

  10. Hi Jen – thanks for the video. I do like a lot of the Estee Lauder products (who own Origins I believe) and am keen to try some of the Origins products you mentioned. I particularly like Estee Lauder’s advanced night repair serum and eye cream. You do inspire me to be diligent about my skincare after watching this – your complexion looks really lovely on the videos – so whatever you are doing I stick with it!

  11. Thank you for the great giveaway 🙂 My favorite skin care product is The body Shop vitamin E cream cleanser , i love the smell !

  12. Thanks so much for sharing your nighttime skin care routine! It is really helpful- I tend to get a bit overwhelmed with all of the products out there, so it’s nice to know what you use and recommend.

I just started using Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine Go Away cleanser and I love it! It is almost the consistency of a clay mask, and it gives my skin a nice matte finish without being too harsh or drying.

  13. I usually use No. 7 products but lately they don’t seem to be working for me so I am researching some new products to try and get my skin back on track.

  14. I love your routine! I’m origins obsessed too. The only thing I DON’T use from origins in my skincare routine are the make-up remover towelettes.

I hope I win! I could use some more origins stuff 🙂

  15. hey jen! my current favorite skincare products are the shiseido brightening products, with the pink cap. I use the cleanser, toner and moisturizer from the line. They`re great and very light. To remove my makeup, I find that the shiseido cleanser is enough, but on days I have a heavier mascara on, I use the Diorsnow cream makeup remover. Btw, love your videos! =)

  16. My favorite skincare item of the moment are my up&up makeup removing wipes! They work as good if not better than more expensive makeup removing wipes and are so inexpensive!

  17. Thanks for sharing your routine, Jen!

My routine is literally CONSTANTLY evolving. My skin is very oily and acne/blackhead prone. Products typically only work for me for a few months and then I have to switch. I’m currently using the Yes to Blueberries line…and it seems to be working well. I’m sure that will be changing soon since warmer wether is upon us!

  18. I have been wanting to try vitazing but have extremely sensitive skin. This giveaway would be a great chance to try these products.

  19. I really would love to test those products. my favorite is one from clean&clear, it keeps my skin clean and refreshed… nothing too special though.

  20. Hi Jen,
I love Origins products as well. I use the Deep Cleanser with White Tea and the Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum. I use another one of their eye products but may try the Eye Doctor after hearing about it on your video. I am also inspired to try the Night A Mins by Origins and the Bliss Steep Clean product. I am looking forward to your daytime routine video now! Thank you for sharing.

  21. Hello I love all Kiehl´s face products, I use them now for six ages. I use the cleanser, toner and twice the week, the peeling and after this I use the Avocade Eye cream I love this cream and I use the facial cream the best cream for our cold german winters.

  22. I’ve never tried any Origins products but have always been interested in them. Thanks for the great video, looking forward to part 2!

  23. I’m battling some bad skin so my favorite product right now is the Oxy Acne Wash with my Clarisonic Mia.

You always have such clear skin, I appreciate you taking the time to do this video 🙂

  24. My current favorite skincare products are Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream & Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask!

  25. Great line-up. I really like Shaklee’s C&E Repair PM. It has antioxidants and it makes my skin feel soooo smooth. I have been on the same tube since last August. I also like coconut oil to remove eye make-up (and sometimes as a moisturizer). I am always looking for natural, healthy options- thanks for sharing!

  26. My routine sucks. I buy things and then stop using them. I recentaly purchased one of those spin brush so I’m hoping that becomes my new fav. I’ve been wanting to try Origins forever!

  27. I have been loving the philosophy line and have been using their cleanser “purity made simple”, their moisturizer “hope in a jar”, and most recently I tried the microdelivery peel and its amazing!

  28. Like you, I love love love Origins products. They’re free of harsh chemicals and work wonders.i use the same toner as you, wanting to get the same serum (i’ve been waiting for their mother’s day sale) and use the Plantscriptions eye cream” and the “A perfect world” moisturizer. I also am obsessed with the active charcoal mask they have, it makes ur skin look flawless!
Thanks Jen for sharing! Love ur videos!

  29. I don’t really have a skin care routine, although I do need to develop one! But usually I just cleanse my face with any cleanser and also toner..& then I always use cetaphil moisturizing lotion, I have very dry skin and this is the only lotion so far that I have found that leaves my skin soft and moisturized and also doesn’t have a smell that irritates my eyes.

  30. My favorite nighttime skin care product is the Korres Wild Rose 24-hour Moisturizing and Brightening Cream!! It is lightweight and helps with skin discoloration!

  31. Thank you for sharing your skin care routine! I really would like to perfect my skin care and this was a great help! I’m 25 and i still get breakouts and would love for that to clear up! I like my Olay moisturizer but don’t care for their cleanser. Maybe Origins will be my new products!

  32. I use a garnier fructis cleanser with my clarisonic. Then I use a skincare line called atomy. Best thing my face, it works wonders!

  33. Jen, thanks for doing this video. I have started changing my routine up a bit and was delighted to see this video. I was stuck on the order in which I should do things, but no longer am. Thank You!!

  34. I’ve been struggling with my skincare as I can’t get the line I used to use and had great results with here in the UK. So I’ve been using whatever doesn’t irritate my skin, difficult as it’s extremely sensitive. I really need to check out Origins though, as they sound a bit similar.

  35. I use the aveeno makeup remover towels (similar to up and up towels) and an eye makeup remover. I have never been in the routine if a nighttime skin are routine, bu now after watching your video and reading the post I am inspired to get into the habit of one. Thank you for the inspiration!

  36. My favorites currently are Clinique but I have recently started using Philosophy products. I’m not sure how I feel about them yet though….

  37. I love Lush’s Aqua Marina to clean my face and I follow with an organic moisturizer made of asses’ milk. I feel like Cleopatra. lol

  38. I’m a skincare junkie, and I like to mix and match my products from various brands in my daily regimen. My favorites are Shiseido’s Benefiance eye cream and Bioderma Crealine H2O.

  39. My favorite skin care products are Cetaphil Gentle Face Wash Cleanser and Neutrogena SPF 15 facial moisturizer. I use Persa-Gel 10 to take care of the occasional breakout.

  40. I love Origins products too – in particular, the Cleanse Off Oil is the best makeup remover ever. It takes everything off and doesn’t leave your skin feeling right at all.

I’ve had some kind of nasty virus over the last couple of weeks and so my skin was looking decidedly blah, and a friend recommended the Drink Up Overnight Moisture Mask and it was fantastic. After one use my skin looked so much better – I’m going to keep it on hand for those times I think my skin is looking a bit lacklustre – which is often with my busy schedule!

  41. I currently use a mix of Paula’s Choice & LUSH products for morning & night skincare routines. I really like both of these brands, but haven’t quite figured out my perfect routine yet.

  42. I am currently using Cetapil to wash me face and then I apply walgreens Alpha Hydroxy cream Would love to try the origins line I have heard so many good thiings about it Thank you for this giveaway and thank you to Origins to provide the gifts

  45. I love to watch all your videos! I love my Clarisonic along with Liz Earles cleanse and polish, followed by Bare Minerals moisturiser.

  46. Hi Jen! I don’t have a skyncare routine unless soap and water, but you encouraged me. My best friend always remember me how important is to take care of the neck area, and you (two) are wright, I should do it!! 🙂

  47. I have been searching for a new line, because the current one is just not cutting it. I have a few products from Origins, which I am currently trying out. Last month Origins was offering free facials and I got one and loved it. I have a few products and hoping this will be the line for me.

  48. I’ve been using the Aveeno Positively Radiant skin care line in the mornings but I haven’t found a great nighttime routine yet. I love your videos, thank you for sharing! 🙂

  49. The only nighttime skin care routine I have is putting carmex on my lips! I need to start a routine, though, and these products would be awesome to try. Thank you!

  50. I have recently (2 months ago) switched from Cetaphil products to the Simple Sensitive Skin Experts line and have been loving it! 🙂

  51. I currently use an oil of Olay sensitive skin face wash. It has been the only thing that seems to help my acne prone skin! I also use a toner every night after washing my face

  52. I used pretty much the entire Cereve range now. My skin is sensitive so anything I can do to keep it calm is a good thing!

  53. I would love to try the products of Origins! They can not be bought here in Europe and i’d love to try them some time since they are organic and seem really high quality. I personally, have always liked Weleda’s skin care. 🙂

  54. I just got a clarisonic for my bday present and i am loving it! I am experimenting with what works best with it as far as cleansers. I would love to try the origins line!

  55. Thank you for the give away! I normally use the Aveda botanicals kenetics 4 step as my night & morning routine. I think that they have changed the formula or something, because it is just not working for me anymore.

  56. I need to start taking better care of my skin, especially now that I’m in my late 20s. I’d love to try these Origins products! Thanks for sharing.

  57. I love my clarasonic. I use it most nights with larochposay cleanser an aveda toner and Clinique moisturizer and eye cream. I would love to try origins products

  58. Aveeno has some amazing skin care products. I use St. Ives apricot scub and aveeno night cream at night. Daytie I use a garne lightweight moisturizer.

  59. I love Neutrogena’s Ultra Gentle face cleanser… I received a sample at my dermatologists and its an awesome, inexpensive, cleanser even if you don’t have sensitive skin

  60. I really don’t have a skincare routine, I just wash my face with a local soup and for moisture I have the Clinique cream.

  61. I use estee lauder skincare products for cleansing and nourishment. Would like to change, origins is not widely available over here, but just starting to become available, I would lve to try it.

  62. I wish I had a place where I could buy origins products. My favorite skincare products (this might sound weird) are apple cider vinegar and olive oil, but I also love aveeno body lotion, it’s the only one my skin can handle

  63. Right now I’m using Olay, however I’m not too “Wowed” by it. I’ve had my eye on some Origins products I want to use though!I have skin like you, sometimes combination and sometimes its normal.

My current faveourite is Thalgo, I use their silicium cream at night and their colleges cream in the morning, but I love Lush’s ‘breath of fresh air’ toner.

      Kim xx

  66. Nivea is my favourite skin care line and I have been committed to it for years now…but i have started using origins lately for my sudden adult acne issues and seen tremendous results!! Thanks for the giveaway hun 🙂

  67. Every night I remove my eye makeup with Sonia Kashuks eye makeup remover, then use Yes to Cucumbers makeup removing wipes to remove the rest. Thanks for sharing your routine! I love seeing what others use.

  70. Origins is my favorite too! I have a very similar skincare routine, A Perfect World and Mega-Mushroom lines are my favorites!

  71. I adore my Michael Todd Organics Skin Care. I’m considering switching to Young Living Oils but I haven’t yet. I used to use Origins and love it. It’s a long story why I quit but it wasn’t because of the products I was thinking about going back. Then I found Michael Todd and I just never did. Every time you talk about your skin care I think about going back to Origins. Maybe when my Michael Todd is gone… who knows. 🙂

  72. Hi favorite skincare products are Neutrogena deep clean foaming cleanser, it’s not too harsh on the skin, I tone with apple cider vinegar and water..really smooths out my skin sometimes a few drops of tea tree oil added to it. I use olive oil to remove eye makeup this also moisturizes my eye area. I love the La Roche posay products as well Effaclar K and duo are great for soothing the skin and reducing imperfections. Love the giveaway, thanks so much for sharing! 🙂

  73. I recently purchased the Origin’s Skincare Must Haves sample box from Sephora after seeing how much you love their products. I must say, I loved everything in the box and plan to purchase the full size products once I run out. I am also interested to try some of the products you listed above in your blog! Thanks for the giveaway and post!

  74. I don’t have a night time skin routine other than using Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion after washing my face… I also am not a big fan of anything oily on my skin, so definitely want to try some of the products you show in your video 🙂 Thanks for sharing your routine with us! 🙂

  75. I’m still loving the Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment and the Aveenon Sensitive Skin foaming face wash.

  77. Yay! So glad you posted this. Your skin always looks great & I’m definitely going to give some of these products a try. I’ve been hearing so many good things about Origins – I’d love to give the products a try!

  78. My clarisonic brush is my prize favorite, and I do use Dermalogica’s Dermal Clay Cleanser daily. I literally walked into the Origins store at my nearby mall just because I kept hearing you mention the Vitazing. I have such trouble color-matching and wanted to try this auto-tinting moisturizer with SPF. Especially since I wanted something to whip on during my next vacation at Disneyland. I got a sample which worked well and I now have a bottle I can’t wait to use for my trip.

  79. I am currently using Origins. I have just recently started using this brand so I’m still trying to find which products work for me but so far I too am in love with the brand.

  80. My favorite skincare product would have to Epiduo which is a prescription for acne. It is really great and works well! I also REALLY love the Kirkland Signature Daily Facial Cleansing Wipes. They remove your makeup complete and really helps your skin!

  83. I’ve recently changed up my skin care routine. It’s a lot more expensive initially, but the products will last a long time and they’ve been doing wonders for my skin. My favorite additions have been the SK-II Clear Lotion & Facial Essence. Also, Pai’s Rosehip Oil.

  84. Hey Jen

On your reccomendation (I think it was a monthly favorites video), I picked up those target cleansing wipes a few months back. They are amazing, and a great value! I can’t wait to see your morning routine video.

    -Emily 🙂

  85. I use the Olay daily facial towelettes every evening to cleanse my face and I also love Aveeno products for my sensitive skin.

  86. Hi Jen, thank you for sharing your nighttime skin care routine with us. I am still trying to figure out which products work best for my skin as a result of moving to a much dryer climate. Best wishes.

  87. One of my favorite skin care products right now is actually a homemade toner/cleanser that has witch hazel, lemon juice and water. It’s super refreshing but I would love to try Origins, the products look so luxurious.

  88. I usually use an exfoliating cleanser once or twice a week, makeup remover wipes, witch hazel toner, and SPF 15 lotion.

  89. I use many different products because I can’t seem to find one brand that work for my entire face. I would live to try Origins. That is one brand I have not tried. Thanks Jen for the review!!

  90. My all time favourite skin care product is 8 hour cream (especially in winter to apply on dry patches), I’ve also been loving the Origins Drink Up over night mask recently – I totally agree its such a good brand

  91. My favorite skin care products are the Clean Start line by Dermalogica. I had horrible horrible horrible acne before and would pile on makeup to try to hide it which of course would make it worse. I literally cried like a week after I started using this line because it was already SO MUCH BETTER. now I don’t even wear makeup a lot of times because I don’t need to cover anything. It has changed my life and self esteem. I swear up and down by it. I had tried everythinggggg there is and this was my miracle worker.

  92. Your skin is lovely Jen so these products are certainly working well for you. I started using Origins products approx 8 months ago and really noticed an improvement with my skin. I especially like the vitazing cream and i’m going to try one of their eye creams next. Helen.

  93. I finally found a daily moisturizer with SPF that doesn’t make me break out, which is great! I am using Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer with SPF 30.

  94. I have been using Burts Bees at the moment. Continuing to search for face products that I really like and that are kind to my sensitive face as well

  95. My skin care varies from time to time, but I MUST have Seabreeze astringent for sensitive skin. It’s absolutely essential for preventing massive breakouts.

  96. My favorite current skin care products are the almay makeup remover wipes and the true blue spa apricot face scrub!

  97. Hi Jen, I always love to try new products, and I know Origins is a great brand, I used to use the products some yrs, ago and they have come out with some great new products. 102. For nighttime, I love philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser, Kiehls Rosa Arctica Eye Cream, and VaniCream moisturizer.

  103. You’ve inspired me to take some risks and try new products! I really like using Gold Bond Ultimate Softening with Shea Butter before I go to sleep as it is a thick cream that absorbs well and does NOT leave a greasy feeling! It has a very soft scent that is nice too. I use the CVS brand of Clarisonic-I just couldn’t drop big $$ on name brand and it’s really helped clean up my face-adult acne sufferer right here! And, I was using a face wash that was the more grown up version of Bonne Belle and really liked it, but recently switched to an Olay facewash that I like. On days that I wear makeup, I use the cloths to remove my makeup. I’m not entirely picky about the brands, I’ve used the Simple brand, Olay, just whatever is on sale really. I would love to try Origins products! I’ve heard a lot of good things about them over the years!

  104. I started using Origins skin care products after you posted your first skin routine. Their products are great for my sensitive skin!! They leave it feeling very clean, but not stripped!! Thanks for sharing your routine. I had never been able to find products that worked with my skin until I tried Origins!

  105. I love using oil of olay. However, I am currently looking to switch my skin care because I have slightly mature skin. (gotta love turning 40) I want something that will help with fine lines and a really good I cream. Thanks for the very Informative video…

  106. I really love the origins clean energy oil, ginzing eye cream, st. ives green tea scrub and garnier moisture rescue gel for dry skin. I’ve tried to use other things and i keep just going back to those 4.

  109. Thanks for sharing your routine, Jen!
I use La Roche Posay products for oily skin in the morning (not sure if they are available in the States as well). This winter my skin has been unusually dry so I combined those products with the Aloe Vera serum, eye cream and night cream from The Body Shop. Luckily it did the trick 🙂 I’ve always wanted to try the Origins products because I heard so many good things about them but they are just a little expensive for my student budget..

  110. The last few months I feel I’ve gotten my adult acne under control (finally!) using Neutrogena Acne Bar for night, Oil Free Acne Wash for day, and for both the Acne Stress Control toner. For some reason, my skin really freaked out for a while there, and I was soooo frustrated! After never having felt with bad skin, it was hard to find what worked for me. I even suffered “chemical burns” from trying some of the things that HAD worked in the past! But my skin really changed, and having to start at square one was difficult and time consuming.

  111. Hey there! I really like the skincare products that you use at night. I have used a lot of different skincare products on my face. I have an oily face and oily hair. Do you know or have any suggestions of skincare products that I should use that would be good for my skin? The products that I have used in the past and that I have liked are: Proactive, Clearskin Professional Acne Treatment System from Avon, AcneFree and I now use Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Foam Wash and Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control moisturizer.

  112. Tried to enter this contest and leave a comment with your widget, but it wouldn’t let me so I’m commenting here. I’m in my 60s and I’m afraid I don’t have much of a skin care regimen. 200. Hi Jen,

I have been a little lax on my skincare at night but after a visit to my dermatologist 2 weeks ago I am now motivated to start up again. I have rosecea so I have very sensitive skin. My Dr noticed that my rosecea creams had cause some small cyst on my lower cheeks which is normal. The cyst are like blocked pores but not like the shallow ones like acne they are deep in the skin. So she prescribed Retinol A cream that I apply at night after I have washed my face. Easy Peasy!

  201. My current routine is Purpose Gentle Cleanser in the morning with Kiehls Moisturizer with SPF and at night I am using St Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub in the shower. I have recently been looking at Origins products because I am trying to stay away from parabens.

Thanks so much for this upload….I totally need help in this department…I recently decided to get some eye cream and was wondering where to start, I will take your advise and seek for same samples from my local Origins. As of now, I only used moisturize…good old.. Oil of Olay…the yellow one with SPF.

  204. My favorite products are from Bliss!! I also love my Neutrogena Wave, it’s like a mini clairsonic brush but uses little pads instead of bristles…and much less expensive 🙂

  205. I don’t really have a skincare routine because I noticed that the more products I use , my skin looks worse and worse, so I always take my makeup off and I moisturize, 3-4 days a week I exfoliate and when a pimple comes out I use a spot on treatment.

  206. I have really oily skin=( The best cleanser for my skin is the Dickinsons Witch Hazel Cleanser. It’s really gentle and it controls oil for a long time.

  207. I use Proactiv 3 step system for night and day

  209. My current skin care routine consists of the target brand face wipes and the neutrogena oil free eye make up remover then I use the clean and clear cream cleanser and deep action toner for sensitive skin with the facial moisturizer as both a spot treatment and all over

  210. I use Nivea products for my nighttime skin care routine. I think I have to try the Grease lightning (it just made it’s way to my to-buy list) 🙂

  211. I currently haven’t found the perfect skincare routine. I use the Lancome Cleanser and Toner combo for dry skin in the winter and for combination skin in the spring and summer. But I want to try something new, as that isn’t working as well as it used to for me. Definitely need a new moisturizer!

  212. Currently, i am in LOVE with the Tatcha line.
my skin is prone to breakouts, hyper pigmentation, and dehydration.

  214. For the last years i have not been taking good care of my skin, due to being alergic for aloe and financialy. But before that i used the lancome products. I really liked there products but when the euro came along the tripled there price, wich made it no longer available for me. Used then the loreal pure line which i liked aswell but know the don’t sell it anymore. So know i am on the look out for new products.

  215. Great blog post as always Jen, I have always been an Olay fan, I have recently discovered Aveeno products and am enjoying trying them out, I dont use a cleanser or toner, just a face scrub and moisteriser, in all honesty have only just jumped on the real skin care band wagon. Many thanks x

  219. I really like the products of La Roche Posey. They don’t contain parabens, alcohol, perfume and SLS. I like that because my skin is very sensitive.

  220. Hello,
My favorite brand fo the moment is Avene, a french brand. Unfortunately, Origins products are not sold in France. It’s been a long time I wanted to try them, thanks to your videos 😉 I’ve just discovered they’re sold in Germany. I live near the frontier. So next time I go there… I’ll try one product. F
    One to begin with 😉

  221. I never heard of Origins before but I just learned I can get your mask in Spain! Looking forward to it. And you just made me notice I haven’t used toner for a very long time, maybe a should get back to it to really clean my skin. Thanks for sharing Jen

  222. Thanks for sharing your routine with us Jen! I tried Origins products a couple of years ago (bought a sampler kit at TJ Maxx) and they were great, but I couldn’t afford the full size of the products back then, so I’ve found some other lines that work well for me and I like to switch it up once in a while (I have dry, sensitive skin with a bit of hormonal acne on the forehead/cheek area). I love the Kiss My Face Potent and Pure line for cleanser and the Vitamin C serum, and I’ve also heard good things about the Ole Henriksen line which I might check out. Currently I use Bioderma makeup remover (the one in the red bottle for sensitive skin), Cerave hydrating cleanser, a homemade toner of witch hazel and rose water, a couple of drops of rosehip and jojoba oil as a serum, and then the Avalon organics Rejuvenating nighttime moisturizer. Oh and I also love the Lush Honey Trap lip balm, the perfect overnight lip treatment, and good for cold, dry winter days too.

  223. I really appreciate your generosity and kindness. You are definitely one of my favorite youtubers to watch because you inspire me to be organized and to take of my skin! Love your videos and don’t ever stop doing what you do.

  229. I love Mario Badescu products. Surprisingly I’ve had great results from most of their line of skin care products.

  230. I am also a huge origins fan! I use the checks and balances face wash along with the never a dull moment products. I also find the ‘Simple’ brand of face products great especially during the day – the moisturiseer is really light, sinks in immediately and doesn’t really have a scent which I think is always a plus when you know you’re adding make up to your face! 🙂

  231. I currently use the simple range here in the UK though I did have a facial at origins as a pre wedding treat with my mum and intend on buying some origins stuff when my current stuff runs out

  232. I love my Cetafil lotion. It always gets rid of my dry patches but I’ve been on the lookout for a new skin are routine. Used to use Proactiv but it doesn’t work :/
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  233. Lately I’ve been using Loreal RevitaLift moisturizer, Simple’s refreshing face wash and Benefit’s refined finish facial polish. I’ve been really loving the Simple and Benefit things but I always have to switch out my moisturizers. They all seem to stop working as well after a while for me.

  237. I have been using Josie Maran Argan oil for the past five years, it is one of my all time favourites! I also love Decleor and Philosophy products and, more recently, the Emma Hardie range.

  241. I love Alba & Giovanni skin care products, but I would love to try out Origins as I am almost at the end of my current faves.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful videos!!

  242. I have never tried Origins before. At the moment I am using L’Oreal Youth Code which is really good. I also like Avene when my skin is misbehaving.

  244. I’m currently loving my bioderma! is great for removing make-up. Doesn’t leave the face oily at all. I also love the St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub. Is a great cleanser with salicylic acid that is gentle enough for daily use. I haven’t tried the origins brand yet, but I’m very curious about the vitazing after hearing you and TiffanyD talk about it. And now I’m even more curious about the brand in general after learning your morning and night routines. Thanks for the giveaway!

  245. I use mainly Polish brands in my skincare, recently I found a brand called Tołpa, and I love it 🙂 Thank you for sharing your rutine 🙂

  246. I love skincare products by Natura Siberica – russian brand with really great anti-age serie(I dont think these products are available anywhere else but in Eastern Europe)

  247. I love almost every Clinique product I have ever used, but if I had to pick one it would be their Moisture Surge Intense moisturizer.

Also I wanted to thank you for being such a nice and generous person. I don’t think that many people would have chosen to give the products they received as a gift, especially if they loved them as much as you do.

  248. I love the garnier spot corrector!! I’ts amazing:) I also use the grease lightning and the ocean salt from lush, love it!
I tried origins once the ginzing eyecream! But it’s a really expensive brand where i live!

  249. Loved hearing about your routine! I’m definitely going to check out some of these products. I’ve been using Olay for a cleanser and I love it.

  250. I’ve recently purchased the Origins VitaZing after your glowing review and I am so glad I did, it’s amazing!!

  251. I have been trying the Skincerity line. I’m not sure how I will like it. It has a very strong smell that I’m not sure I like.

  252. I think I must be a bit too sparing with my lotions and potions. I bought some vitazing last year and got samples of the ginzing eye cream and the c&b face wash and I am still on the samples. I use them about 5 times a week!

  253. Hey Jen! I have been jumping from one facial care line to another, trying to find the perfect one for me. In the morning I am in love with using the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula. Then, I use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion number 3. Next, I use LUSH Grease Lightning. Very well for spot treating. Then, I use Clinique Dramatically Different Mousturizing Gel. Leaves my skin feeling fresh and ready for what ever the day holds for me. 🙂 At night, I like to use things that are light on my face and do not make my face feel oily. I start out by using Say Yes To Tomatos Deep Pore Exfoiliating Cleanser. A very light bamboo and sandlewood cleanser. Then, I use LUSH Grease Lightning. Next I use Say Yes To Tomatos Repairing Acne Lotion. Then, to finish up, I use Say Yes To Tomatos Acne Spot Stick. Now, I just began using the Say Yes To Tomatos last week so I really don’t know how good it really is. It
did take the redness out of the spots in one night though. Hope I help somebody! If anybody has any comments or questions on the products I use, I’d be happy to answer! Lots of love! <3 "Sharing Is Caring" – Jennifer Ross 🙂
P.S. Yes, I did this quote Jen. Hope she is proud! It is on my binder school! 🙂

  254. I have been using the Philosophy Purity cleanser and really enjoying it. It is a nice clean without stripping my skin.

  255. I’m predominantly a Lanome lady but always open to try something new. My philosophy is sort of “Don’t fix it if it’s not broken but don’t stop trying new things that might have even better results!”. I figure research/development/technology is constantly changing and discovering wonderful things, so I don’t want to stay with the same routine forever and I always want to be open for new and/or improved products or products that work better for my ever-evolving/changing skin.

  256. I’ve been using Neutrogena skin care products for about 2-3 years now, they’ve worked pretty well for me. I tend to have very dry skin so their moisturizers (day and night) have helped to curb the dryness.

  257. I use an Aveeno moisturizer (I believe it’s Positively Radiant) and I love love love it! I also really love the Garnier dark circle remover for my under eye area 🙂

  258. I am currently loving Nivea products at the moment, cleanser, toner, moisturiser and the facial washing gel.

  259. I am loving Lush’s BB Seaweed face mask. I put it on and the next day its like magic!! Clears me up overnight!!

I got my Vitazing on a recent trip to the US and I am very carefull not to waste it since we cannot obtain Origins products here. please keep ub your great work you help me eith organizing ideas every day. Thank you!

  266. I use the Cetaphil skincare line for my face, both cleanser, lotion and moisturizing cream. I also use a small amount of Aloe Vera gel as a serum underneath my moisturizer, which helps prevent both aging as well as skin dehydration. Works excellent! Although it would be interesting to try some of the Origins products, since I’ve heard so many great things about that brand.

  267. I enjoy the clarisonic cleansing gel immensely. It have seen a reduction in fine lines and my skin feels more tone. I also use Olay 7 signs products. I love how they moisturize without feeling greasy. And my secret toner is California baby calming diaper rash spray. It’s not just for babies :-). All natural and very refreshing.

  268. I’ve used Witch Hazel as a toner for years and never have had a blemish. I like Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cream which is a great all natural moisturizer. DHC has some really nice olive oil cleansers and products. Cetaphil products are also very good. I like using coconut oil, olive oil and coffee grounds to make an excellent cheap scrub for the body! I don’t waste too much money on store bought items when I have a whole beauty store in my kitchen pantry! 🙂

  269. I love your skin care videos. I watched your older videos when you first posted them and that’s when I started using Origins. I love them and I couldn’t imagine using any other products.

  270. I love using Bliss’s cleanser Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, it smell amazing and it exfoliates too. I also love the La Roche Posay Effaclar Serum and Toner, both meant to refine pores and contain LHA. I Use Lancome’s Vissionare to follow and the Roche Posay Effaclar Mat Moisturizer which I love and absorbs fast.

  271. I have never tried Origins before because we can’t get it where i live but i do have a clarisonic that i bought ona trip to the states with a bunch of back up brush heads and i use it 3 or 4 times a week.

  276. I have been using the Cetaphil skincare line for a good couple of years, both cleanser, lotion as well as their moisturizing face cream. In addition to that I also use a small amount of Aloe Vera gel as a serum underneath my face moisturizer, which helps prevent aging and dehydration of the skin. Works excellent! However it would be really nice to try out some Origins products, since I have heard so many great things about that particular brand.

  277. Thanks for sharing your skin are routines. I started using the Vita-zing after watching one of your videos….I love it, but it was a little dark for me for the winter. Hopefully I can work it in this summer again!

  278. hello Jen
I have recently purchased some Organic Surge products, and love their night moisturiser & eye serum. The only thing they dont do however, is a daily moisturiser with some kind of SPF which is a shame, so I use No 7 in the morning.

    Like your website! x

  279. We don’t have Origins in New Zealand so it would be amazing to try them out!

My favourite product of all time would have to be Vaseline – so versatile and cheap! In NZ we also have a company called Natural Aromatherapy Co, which has a line of organic ‘therapy’ range products which are fabulous for more sensitive skin!

  280. I love Origins. I love the vitazing and the plantscription eye cream. I haven’t used the other items but now that you have talked about your favorite I will have to go and pick them up and see if I like them too.

  281. Hey Jen! Thanks for the amazing giveaway! I have been loving Philosophy’s Purity cleanser because it gets off all my makeup and cleans my face without stripping it. Oh by the way, it works amazing with a clarisonic! 🙂 Another skincare item I’ve been loving is Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Toner which is designed for acne prone and oily skin. It really does help with my acne and helps get all the remaining dirt and oil off my face. I think your husband would really like it for after shaving too!

  282. I’m quite a fan of Pai skincare (their face oil is great). I also use a bunch of natural products, like jojoba oil (to remove makeup, as well as a moisturizer). Caudalie and thisWorks are fantastic, too!

  283. My favorite skin care product of the moment is my Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover. It works identical to the clinique one i was using and is over half the price!

  290. I’ve never tried origins. My routine is pretty basic because I don’t wear makeup. It just makes my life so much simpler.

  291. I do not have a good night time skin care routine. I have a good morning one but now you have inspired me to start an evening skin care routine.

  292. I love the up&up makeup remover wipes.. I recently was able to score a package of the travel individually wrapped up&up wipes that came 5 to a pack for .28cents!! Talk about a good deal!

  293. I currently use Michael Todds Organics, but I am not happy with them because they are not as organic as they claim. I have always been interested in Origins skin care. I have only tried their Clear Improvement charcoal mask, which I love. I love using a clay mask once a week as well as exfoliating my face twice a week. Thanks for sharing your favorite products!!

  294. I have been loving the Origins Checks & Balances face wash, my Clarisonic Mia, and the Up & Up makeup remover from Target!

  295. I am actually in between skin care products. My sensitive skin and sometimes acne have decided to attack my skin. I’m trying to find the right products without setting either one off.

  296. I use Mary Kay Cosmetics Miracle Set (cleanser, day & night solutions and moisturizer) as well as the MK Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover, Serum+C and Firming Eye Cream daily and I use the MK Microdermabrasion once a week.

  302. Hi Jen! I’d love to try some Origin products. I love the Shiseido cotton pads and they’re definitely one of my favorites. I also love the Truth Serum by Ole Henrikson. My skin just drinks it up! Thanks for sharing your routine! I’ll definitely check out some Origins.

  303. Hi Jen! I have dry skin and still have occasional breakouts even though I’m 32. But just this last year I found the solution for both issues! I use the Clarisonic with the Borage Dry Skin Therapy Facial Cleanser, the THAYER Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner and Borage Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 and Borage Dry Skin Therapy eye cream during the day. For night I use the same cleanser and toner and then use the Borage Dry Skin Therapy Facial 24-hour Repair Cream with a heaver eye cream and layer of rose hip oil followed by jojoba oil. With this combination my skin has never been better! Its so nice to find something that works!

  307. I’ve always loved the Clinique Moisturizer (the big yellow one!
But I’ve been eye-ing the origins for a while!

  309. I love Yves Rocher products, they can be found online here in the US, they are all organic and environment friendly. Right now I am using the Lifting Bio collection – night and day. it smells wonderful and does wonders to my combination skins. I have tried Origins back in the days, I used to love their papaya enzyme cleanser. But my favorite cleanser of all times is Avalon Organics Vitamin C cleanser, smells great, does the job and my skin never feels dry after using it. I also use the rose bud salve you featured in your previous post, I am glad they are now offering it as a tube as I am not a big fan of tubs. Keep up the great work Jen, we absolutely adore you!

  312. I am so happy I discovered Origins through you Jen. My favorite skincare products are actually Origins too. Our routines are very similar. I use mostly “A Perfect World” products as well as Ginzing and Vitazing in the A.M. My nighttime routine includes the “Up and Up” makeup remover towelets and “High Potency Nightamins” as well. I am on a budget and have not been able to purchase the Clairsonic or Clairsonic Mia, however, I use the Olay ProX facial cleansing brush and feel it does the job. Thanks for the detailed skincare routine blog posts.
    =) Terry

  313. Thanks a lot for sharing, you showed some new products I’d like to check out but Origins is very hard to find where I live 🙁
I love Kiehl’s though, especially the Midnight Recovery Oil, and also SteamCream – it’s a great basic moisturiser for my skin which is really sensitive at the moment because of Accutane (but I just took my last pills today, yay!)

  314. Thank you so much for doing an updated video. I have gotten several of there products after watching your older video on skin care.

I only use No7 products now cuz they’re the only ones I’ve tried. But maybe I’ll get a bit experimental 🙂

  322. Thanks for sharing! I will love to try this new skincare line from Origins, I currently use Cetaphil cream for morning and night daily.

  323. My Favorite skincare line is St. Ives and Clinque. We have quite limited amount of product range here where I live. I’ve tried a few and I use Clinique for cleanser and moisturizer and St. Ives as scrub or backup skincare. They work very well for my extremely sensitive skin.

  324. I use clinique everyday moisturizer and I use aquifer on my lips to make them not dry. It’s very simple but I would love to try something new.

  325. My skincare routine is all Decleor products! My favorite is the Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Flower Nectar Moisturising Cream.

  326. My favorites skincare I have used for years is the Philosophy brand which I love BUT! I have watched your great skincare videos and have ordered some Origin products to try!
