In addition to my monthly lifestyle favorites I thought it would be fun to also share my current top picks as a new Mommy. I’m going to talk a bit about my favorite products from the past month as well as hopefully also other things such as activities and venues as my daughter, CC, grows into enjoying those sorts of things later on. These posts will reflect my favorites based on her age.

❊ Fisher-Price My Little Snugabunny Deluxe Newborn Vibrating Rock n’ Play Sleeper – Little CC loves this sleeper so much that after a couple of weeks we bought a second one to keep upstairs in our house. Not only is it comfy, the vibrating feature makes it extra soothing. This isn’t technically a bassinet and I personally don’t feel comfortable letting CC sleep in it unattended because of the fabric and cushioning up by her head, but it’s the perfect place to pop her in for daytime naps when I can keep an eye on her and get some things done around the house.
❊ HALO Premiere Series Bassinet Swivel Sleeper Bassinet – CC spends the night in this bassinet which I have pulled up next to my side of the bed. I love how it swivels smoothly for my convenience to get in and out of bed. The mesh siding provides peace of mind when I’m asleep, as CC likes to scooch her little body up to the side of the bassinet in her sleep. The height is adjustable as well so it is easy to position for the best access.
❊ Sleep Sheep – Where would we be without Sleep Sheep? These little white noise machines make CC a happy sleeper! They come with a variety of sounds (CC prefers the ocean one), two timer options, and a velcro attachment. We have the regular (larger) sleep sheep attached to the bassinet and the travel (smaller) one on the Snugabunny on the main level of our house.
❊ HALO SleepSack Micro-Fleece Swaddle – CC likes to be swaddled to sleep since her startle reflex is pretty strong and she can easily wake herself up before she’s ready when her arms are loose. I rest easy at night with her in the sleepsack swaddle because I know it won’t accidentally bunch up around her face. Plus, it’s super easy to get off and on again for middle of the night diaper changes.
❊ Carter’s Fleece Zip-Up Sleep & Play – These fleecy footed pajamas were CC’s staple daytime wardrobe for the first month of her life. They’re soft and cozy without being too warm and super easy to get on and off for newbie parents like me and Don. Plus, Carter’s often has great sales and coupons making their clothes super affordable, which is extra nice since babies grow out of things so quickly.
❊ Stripe & Dot Boppy Feeding & Support Pillow & Slipcovers – I’ve used and loved my Boppy pillow for breastfeeding since day one. It was especially helpful for me for the first two weeks as I was quite tender recovering from my c-section. I kept it around my middle when feeding to support CC and protect my incision. Since then, I’ve taken to just using it tucked under the arm of the side I’m feeding on for comfort. It’s the perfect height and firmness to help make breastfeeding more comfortable for me.
❊ Water Wipes – These wipes are chemical and worry free. They’re quite wet so they really pack a punch and they don’t irritate CC’s skin. I love that they’re fragrance-free as well.
❊ BabyConnect – I read about this app on Veronika’s Blushing just before I gave birth to CC and I’m so glad I decided to download it because it is amazing! It’s such an easy and accessible way to keep track of CC’s feedings, sleep, diapers, and more. I always have my phone on me these days as it’s actually the easiest way for Don & me to communicate when we’re on different levels of the house without having to yell and especially since I like to be able to snap photos of my sweet girl whenever a special moment strikes. I rely on this app to help me track CC’s progress and health.
I talk about each item in more detail in this video:
I hope you enjoyed this look at some of my top picks for my one month old. I would love to know what some of your Mommy favorites are if you care to share!
