May 2014 Ipsy Bag

I’m back with an Ipsy update! If you’re unfamiliar, Ipsy is a monthly subscription service where you receive between 4 to 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products for $10 per month (this includes shipping within the US. Ipsy also ships to Canada for an extra $4.95 per month).

The May Ipsy bag theme is Fresh Picks, including beauty products based on a natural theme.  I am uncertain how eco-friendly all of the included products are.  To me, it feels like the products I received are to help you achieve a more natural look.

What’s in my May Ipsy bag?

Eva NYC Mane Tamer Leave In Cream – This leave in conditioner  has keravis protein and argan oil to help strengthen and smooth hair.  It claims it is for all hair types.  We’ll see if it can stand up to that claim in my baby fine hair.

✻ Pacifica Mineral Eye Shadow Du0 #1 – This duo includes two shades from Pacifica’s Mystical Supernatural Eye Shadow Palette.  The lighter shade called Opal is an “opalescent pinkish white perfect for highlighting and creating a natural look.”   Celestial is a “creamy dreamy beige with a little bright pearl ideal for lids and highlights.”  These colors seem right up my alley!

Mee Beauty Bee Nourished Night Cream – An ultra thick night cream infused with honey which has both antioxidant and antibacterial properties.  I like that it is fragrance free.

Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan Anti-Aging Sunscreen –  A top-rated mineral sunscreen with anti-aging and certified organic ingredients.  Safe for use on face and body.  I always love trying out mineral sunscreens.

Boo-Boo Cover-Up – I thought this was a face concealer when I first saw it, but it’s actually designed to conceal boo-boos such as bruises.  I saw some reviews that it is great for the face, too.  I’ve never heard of a boo boo concealer before!

I will be back next month with my thoughts on the May bag as well as a look at June’s goodies.   I’d love to know what you got in your May Ipsy bag if you are a subscriber as well!
