Happy March! I feel like I’ve been hibernating in my house for the past two months and I’m itching for some nice weather to get out more. In the meantime, I’ve managed to stay warm and cozy all winter long with the help of some favorite things (and favorite people and pups, too, of course). I’m excited to share some of my favorite things from the past month with you, ranging from clothing, accessories, and beauty items to home goods, multi-media picks, and food.

Clothes & Accessories
❊ Zella Live In Slim Fit Leggings – I’m all about leggings these days and my Zella’s are my favorite. They fit like a dream and make me feel supported without being too tight. I appreciate that they’re 100% opaque as well so I don’t have to worry exposing more than I’d like. 😉
❊ Liz Lange for Target Maternity Fashion Tank Top – While this is technically a materity top, it’s really constructed just like an other basic tank. I find it’s superior in fit and quality, however, to the non-maternity ones that are similar from Target. These tanks have been a layering staple for me this winter as a new Mama.
Beauty
❊ Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe – I received this pretty blush palette as a birthday gift last month and have since fallen in love with it. I really like the formula and pigmentation of the Love Flush blushes and now I have a great shade range in a compact package.
❊ Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow – This bronzer and highlight duo has been my go-to all winter long. I like how subtle but effective both are at bringing warmth and light to my pasty winter complexion.
❊ L’Oréal Colour Riche Balm in Nourishing Nude #818 – I’m sure I’ve raved about this lipstick before, because it is a long time favorite of mine. It’s perfect for those low maintenance moments where I’d like a sweep of color that’s easy to apply on the go and feels great on the lips.
Home Goods
❊ Emma Bridgewater Mugs – I have quite the collection of these beautiful hand painted mugs from England that I’ve been given as gifts over the years. The latest additions were a thoughtful new parents gift from a sweet English friend. Don and I use these every morning!
❊ Alessi Heart Spoons – I’m a firm believer in the “It’s The Little Things” philosophy that small and simple joys make a huge impact on the quality of my days. Using these sweet heart spoons makes my heart smile just a bit each and every time.
Multi-Media
❊ Coldplay – A Head Full of Dreams – I’ve been a Coldplay fan for years and am always super excited whenever they release a new album. Their latest is one of the best yet in my opinion. It’s got a lighter, brighter tone to it that I enjoy bopping along in the car to.
❊ The Muppets – I’ve always been a Muppet fan and spent my childhood years watching reruns of the original Muppet Show with my older brither. Now Don and I enjoy watching the new show, which is filmed documentary style like The Office. We find it both hilarious and heart warming!
❊ SprinkleOfGlitter & BitsAndClips – I can’t remember if I’ve shared my love for Louise from SprinkleOfGlitter on YouTube yet or not, but regardless, her videos have certainly been a recent favorite of mine. I love her sense of humor and spin on life. Watching her vlogs led me to my newest favorite YouTuber, Marie frim BitsAndClips. These two ladies developed an amazing friendship thrugh YouTube. I especially enjoy the vlogs where they are visiting with each other, because you can see their bond and the joy they bring to one another. If you like watching family vlogs, check out Marie’s Weekly Bit.
Tasty Treats
I’m back on my tea kick! I’ve been an avid tea drinker since college, but for some reason had no interest in it during my pregnancy. After I gave birth to my daughter, a switch flipped and I’m back on the tea bandwagon again. Strange, I know! I’m really into rooibos blends right now. My two favorites are Paromi Rooibos Cinnamon Chai Tea and the Republic of Tea Good Hope Vanilla Red Tea. Both offer that wonderful earthy rooibos flavor I so enjoy with warming spice accents for an awesome winter cuppa.
Normally I sweeten my tea with a bit of honey, because I like the flavor and texture it adds to my brew, but I’m on a strict candida diet to help rid my body of a pesky thrush invasion (#BreastfeedingProblems :/ ) so honey is off the table. The one sweetener allowed on the diet is pure stevia. You’d be surprised how many of the big brands cut stevia with other ingredients that feed yeast! I found a pure stevia option, the 365 Organic Stevia Extract Powder, from Whole Foods. It comes with a teensy tiny serving spoon. A little bit of pure stevia packs a powerfully sweet punch! It doesn’t have quite the same effect as honey, but it does sweeten up my brew enough to my liking.
