It has been so beautiful out lately and it seems to be putting lots of people in a good mood. Spring is a wonderful time of year when we can wash away winter and usher in summer. I know I’ve been enjoying that fresh and refreshed feeling that comes with the season! I’m excited to share some of my favorite things from the past month with you, ranging from clothing, accessories, and beauty items to home goods, multi-media picks, and food.

Clothes & Accessories
✻ J. Crew Drapey Keyhole Top – I own this top in two colors, both the beautiful “warm plum” (really more of a royal blue IMO) shown in the photo and “electric red.” I absolutely adore these tops. They’re perfect on their own or for layering, making them year round pieces. They look and wear like silk, but they’re actually polyester and machine washable (plus dryer friendly!). Bonus! On final sale discount right now marked down from $98 to $59.99 plus an additional 30% savings at checkout using code SALETHERAPY
✻ AG Prima Mid Rise Skinny Jeans in Jetsetter – Words cannot describe how very much I love these jeans. They feel as comfortable as leggings when they’re on. It’s not easy (at least in my experience) finding “the one” when it comes to skinny jeans and I’m so happy I finally have. They’re on the pricier side of things, but worth every penny to me!
✻ Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch – My DH bought me this bag on target=”_blank”>Valentine’s Day this year and while I loved it at the time, I really had no idea just how versatile this little beauty would be, especially when traveling. I’ve taken Eva on my last two trips and she’s been the perfect travel companion. I love keeping my essentials like my vlogging camera, wallet, and phone at the ready when in transit. The removable cross body strap also makes it so she turns into the perfect evening bag or clutch for nights out. What a versatile and beautiful bag!
✻ Dior Star Fluid Foundation – This is a beautiful medium coverage foundation with a soft, natural finish. It does have a perfume scent noticeable when applying, but I find it that doesn’t stick around long. The foundation has great lasting power and doesn’t get weird looking even after a full day of wear.
✻ It Cosmetics Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation Brush – My new #1 foundation brush, this soft and fluffy brush makes applying and blending foundation easy. I also find that it doesn’t suck up quite as much product as some other foundation brushes I’ve used in the past.
✻ Pacifica Aquarian Glaze Water-Resistant Mascara – I’m always on the hunt for the next best waterproof mascara and I’m so happy I picked up this beauty from Target, because it is amazing. It volumes and lengthens subtly, making it buildable based on your preference, and lasts all day without smudging, even in the rain! I like that it’s a mineral based product, as well.
✻ Pacifica Love 3 Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow Trio – This little trio is sweet and compact, making it perfect to throw in your travel makeup bag for a sweet summery look. The shadows are soft with nice pigmentation and blendability. Pacifica uses great ingredients in their makeup, which is vegan and cruelty-free.
✻ Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick – Creamy and pigmented? Sounds like the perfect lipstick to me! I’ve loved using this gorgeous pink shade in Nudie Red for the past few weeks. For every Power of Love lipstick that is sold, Target donates one to a woman in need. How cool is that!
✻ Guerlain Maxi Shine Lipgloss – This beauty has definitely been featured in my favorites before, but I wanted to mention it again, because shade 463 (La Petite Robe Noir) is the perfect match for my Pacifica lipstick pick. Love them together and separately!
✻ Greenmarket Purveying Co Lemon + Cucumber Archivist Reed Diffuser Kit – I can’t get over how potent this reed diffuser is! I actually received the kit in my March Popsugar Must Have Box and I decided to put it in my office bathroom, thinking it was designed for a small space and that the throw wouldn’t be that big. Boy, was I wrong! For the past month it has scented not only the bathroom, but my entire office and much of the second floor hallway. I am impressed! I’m looking for ways to scent my home that are healthier and would love your input if you know of any research about different kinds of products (plugins, scented candles, oil diffusers, etc) and how they impact in home air quality.
✻ Yankee Candle Happy Spring Candle – This candle smells like fresh cut grass in the best way possible. I’m not normally a huge fan of that particular scent, but I can’t get enough of this! It’s backed with floral notes, which softens the effect. I haven’t used many Yankee Candle candles (that sounds redundant 😉 ) before and am very impressed with this one, which I picked up at Target. It has a great throw and has burned well.
✻ Inferno by Dan Brown – I finished this book earlier in April and have been meaning to put up my Book Nook sharing my thoughts on it since. I plan to do so this weekend, so stay tuned if you’re interested in hearing more. In short, I very much enjoyed this mystery and generally like Brown’s plot twists and use of historical details.
✻ The Bedwetter by Sarah Silverman – I enjoy listening to audiobooks when I am knitting, which these days is mostly when I’m on an airplane. For whatever reason, I’ve been on a female comedian/writer kick and love listening to this kind of nonfiction, especially when narrated by the authors themselves. I really enjoy Silverman’s voice and her easygoing writing style. She successfully delivers both funny and funnily shocking personal anecdotes in an unassuming style, which makes her seem more accessible and likable in my opinion. Special Offer! ✻ Title by Meghan Trainor – One of my followers suggested Meghan Trainor’s music to me last month and I’m so happy they did, because I have really enjoyed this upbeat collection of tunes. Trainor’s retro, head-bopping musical style combined with cute, quirky, and uplifiting lyrics lifts my mood every time. My favorite song on this album is Close Your Eyes. In fact, it was my anthem last weekend when I was surrounded by much more fashionable people than me at a conference in Dallas as a gentle reminder to own who I am and my own style:
I guess I could waste all my time and my money just trying to look right,
but it doesn’t change who I am in my heart if I look like a dime.
✻ The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – Don and I really enjoyed this Netflix original show, co-written by one of my favorites, Tina Fey. The premise is based on a woman who is freed from an underground bunker she’s been kept in for 15 years with three other women who were all kidnapped by a self proclaimed religious nut. The show follows Kimmy’s adjustment back to life above ground as she settles in New York City. Keep in mind, in order to enjoy this show it must be taken with a grain of salt as it is meant to be a complete satire, and in accepting it as such it is hysterically funny.
✻ Hannah Maggs – This dynamic duo (baby makes three!) produces amazing high quality weekly vlogs. I just love the videography and editing effects that husband Stef produces combined with wife Hannah’s down to earth, take-me-for-who-I am attitude. I highly recommend checking them out, if not just for sweet shots of their super cute son, Grayson.
✻ Temptalia – After some requests, I decided to start adding blogs I follow in my monthly favorites, starting off with my go-to stop for beauty reviews and recommendations over the past five years. Temptalia provides amazing quality swatch and product photos using a great rating system. Whenever I see something new I’m thinking of buying, I turn to her website as I value her opinion.
✻ Horizon Organic Lowfat Cottage Cheese – I love cheese, but sadly it does not love me back. I tend to reserve eating it when I’m at parties with cheese board spreads or out to dinner for special meals. However, I’ve found that I can digest lowfat cottage cheese and most yogurt just fine. I love combining cottage cheese with raspberries and pumpkin seeds for a delightfully tasty, filling, and healthy snack.
✻ Peanut Butter Banana Bites – One of the snacks from the Tone It Up Bikini Series plan is combining sliced bananas with peanut butter into little sandwich bites. Yum! Someone suggested freezing them, which I think is genius! My favorite kind of peanut butter is the unsweetened organic variety from Whole Food’s 365 brand.
✻ Caramels – While I strive to be on the healthier side with nutrition most of the time, there, of course has, to be balance and for me that involves having a small sweet indulgence once a day. One of my favorites of late are these amazing handmade caramels from local chain Foodstuffs. They’re so good!
