My Current Look | Makeup | Spring 2015

It’s been awhile since I shared a Current Look video where I sit down and apply my makeup on camera.  There seemed to be some interest, so I decided to give it another go, this time showcasing my favorite spring look of the moment.

  1. I’m actually loving The Body Shop mineral power foundation right now, its so quick and easy to apply and gives me great coverage 🙂

  2. Hi Jen!
Off-topic, sort of… I know you keep journals, but not sure if you keep art journals. There is a product I’ve seen called inlinkz on art journal sites that creates a shopping-style products-used area on a website, with links to where those can be found. I don’t know what the cost is to use it, or if it would be any easier to manage than your existing way of listing your products… since you are doing a brand re-vamp, it may be worth checking out. I am not affiliated with them, I’ve just seen them around some blogs I visit, and it’s a clean reader interface that may or may not appeal to you with your new direction.

BTW: I like your shorter cut, especially with the natural waves. Much shorter, and I think you’d look even more like Brianna Garcia’s Snow White. http://briannacherrygarcia.deviantart.com/art/Snow-White-526149135?q=gallery%3Abriannacherrygarcia%2F120198&qo=6

    Continued success!
    Robin

    1. Aw, you’re sweet. Snow White is a beauty! And thanks for the info on the art journals. If I had any artistic talent at all I’d keep them 😉

  3. Yaaaay a make up video!!! And what a brilliant giveaway, I’ve been wanting to try Tarte but it’s quite hard to get in England…I’ve been loving recently Benefit Gimme Brow, it’s like a teeny little mascara brush and you comb it backwards through your brows and then back the other way and it colours, combs and sets them all at the same time.

  4. Love the look. Didn’t think I’d like an all matte palette but loved how your look turned out. Very nice and natural for everyday.

  5. I don’t know if you’ve tried the Kleenex blotting paper or if it’s widely available in the U.S. but it is my absolute number one favourite blotting paper. The sheets are actually more like fabric than paper and they are AMAZING at absorbing oil. They’re a bit of a cult favourite here and you should 100% give them a try if you can! I currently have a packet of those Boscia ones on the go and they are nowhere near as effective as the Kleenex ones and they’re much pricier. Love your videos Jen!

  6. Hi Jen! Your eye makeup looked so beautiful in this video. I love how you used many colors from the palette but it gave you such a cohesive and natural look. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Great video Jenn. I really needed to wind down. Been a hectic week. Our 200 year old oak tree got hit by lighting and sustained lots of damage. Our tree service guy took much needed weight off in hopes it saves it. It’s just a tree as some would say but it is my family’s favorite.

  8. I am using Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation, max factor bronzing powder, max factor lipfinity lipstick at the moment for my make up

  9. Such a pretty look!

I have really been digging pinks and purples so far for spring. I purchased the Loreal La Palette Nude 2 and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality. I have been using it nonstop.

  10. Hi Jen!

This is my first time responding to a video …I do not have a YouTube channel but really wanted to enter to win the Tarte products, which look so pretty on you and also to tell you that I simply loved your make-up video.

WOW such a flawless finish and beautiful complexion. I am still trying different brushes to apply my makeup. I am using Elf now, but not too impressed, but affordable. You make it look so easy using the brushes when applying & blending your makeup.

Anyway, I have been watching you on YouTube for years and love your content & lifestyle. I have learned so much from you. I love watching you & Don interact and love LOVE you & Winnie. She is beautiful & so lucky to have you as her “Mommy”!

    Jen, you are the best!!!!
Thanks for all that you do! You are a great person.

  11. Great video. I’ve been following for a while and want to tell you that you are a favourite. Can we just be best friends? In a non creepy, not a stalker kind of way?

  12. Love your current look! Thanks for doing a video!
Your eyebrows look perfect to me – mine are terrible 😮 but like you I’m too scared to go have them done for fear of them getting messed up and me not looking like me anymore 😉

  13. Hey, Jen-Jen!

Do you wash your washcloth you use whilst doing make-up up with your other regular bath towels? I loved your idea and am also doing it now, but not sure if I can wash them with my white bath towels. :/ What is your system with these? Thanks for being you! <3

    1. I wash all of our towels together without issue but then again most of our towels are dark brown, so I’m not sure how white would work out.

      1. Aaah ok cool. So does that mean you would wash the colorful washcloth featured in this post with the dark brown towels? Thanks for taking the time to answer me. Appreciate it muchly.

          1. Awesomeness, thanks, Jen! I follow you religiously and don’t miss a thing. Blessings x
