August & September PopSugar Must Have Boxes (2014)

This subscription is so much fun!  If you’re unfamiliar, PopSugar Must Have is a monthly subscription service where you receive a selection of full size and premium beauty, fashion, home, and fitness items for $39.95 per month (this includes shipping and is available in the US only).  In this post I share both the August & September boxes as I play catch up.

August’s theme is inspired by “celebration, sweet smells, sexy skin, happy treats, beach days, summer nights out, and shiny accents.”  Yep, that pretty much sums it up!  As usual, there is a nice variety of items in this box ranging from beauty to leisure.

What’s in my August box?

Lollia At Last Perfumed Shower Gel – What a divinely scented shower gel!  The formula is made with shea butter and jojoba oil for a moisturizing effect and the scent contains notes of ” powdery rice flower perfectly paired with lovely, southern magnolias and demure mimosa.”  I’d never heard of this brand before and one look at their website is making my heart flutter!  Everything is so pretty!  Suggested Retail: $22

Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip – PopSugar paired with Bite Beauty to create this exclusive shade in celebration of the two year anniversary of the Must Have Box.  What a very happy birthday party favor!  I love Bite Beauty products and am so excited to be trying out one of their lip glosses formulated with food grade ingredients!  Suggested Retail: $22

thinkThin Brownie Crunch High Protein Bar – It’s been awhile since I’ve tried a thinkThin bar and this came just in time to pop into my carry-on for our upcoming long flight to Italy.  This gluten-free high protein bar has zero grams of sugar, making it a guilt-free treat. Suggested Retail: $2

The Mason Jar Cookie Company Celebrate Cookie Mix – How fun is this cookie mix?  I love the mason jar shaped packaging.  I usually bake from scratch but I am excited to give these a try for our next family gathering.  I also think it would make for the perfect hostess gift packed in a basket with a few other baking essentials.  Suggested Retail: $12

Paddywax Ocean Tide & Sea Salt Mini Jar Candle – They had me at the brand name!  How cute is Paddywax?  Love it!  The soy candle smells divine and is hand poured.  It smells just like summer in a beautiful glass jar.  Their website is pretty awesome as well with lots of other interesting candle picks.  Suggested Retail $10

Kendra Scott Elle Earrings in Slate – How gorgeous are these statement earrings?  I love the soft gray stones, which are a gorgeous touch for any season.  I’d never heard of this brand before and their jewelry and accessories are gorgeous!  They also included a 20% off coupon for a purchase from their site.  Sweet!  Suggested Retail: $52

Goodbyn Purple Meal and Dipper Set – As a lover of containers, I am very interested in this brand which I’d never heard of before.  Turns out they’re local Illinois folk!  This container would be perfect for packing a lunch for school, work, or to travel.  I absolutely love the gorgeous purple color, which is very unique.  Suggested Retail: $6

September’s theme is inspired by “autumn leaves, long walks, new tunes, back to school, fashion week, and football.”  Once again, this box wowed me with awesome products ranging from beauty to leisure as well as some tasty treats!

What’s in my September box?

Nicole Miller Stereo Earbuds – It seems like so many fashion designers are putting out tech related products these days, like these earbuds from Nicole Miller.  I love the royal blue color and that they come in three ear-cap sizes for the perfect fit.  Suggested Retail: $20

Urban Remedy Almond Brownie – A gluten-free organic brownie made with coconut sugar?  Yes, please!  I love trying healthier versions of otherwise not so good for you treats.   This juice company also provides healthy snack and meal alternatives.  Suggested Retail: $6

Oribe Superfine Purse Size Hair Spray – While I have heard of this brand before I’ve never tried their products and am excited about this small hairspray that is perfect for travel.  I’m thinking it should come to Italy with me!  It’s a nice superfine mist, which typically works better in my baby fine hair.  Suggested Retail: $21.50

Tilo Modal Gradation Scarf in Raisin – This scarf is absolutely stunning!  My scarf collection has grown into such an eclectic variety thanks to my PopSugar boxes!  The modal fabric is super soft and the muted grays and maroon are gorgeous for fall.  Suggested Retail: $125

Nike $20 Gift Card – I must admit, when I first saw the measuring tape I thought it was a bit mean to send in a box along with chocolate but it turns out the tape is to measure properly for a Nike Pro sports bra.  That makes more sense! 🙂

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis – I saw these in Target not too long ago and used a lot of will power to not buy them.  Now I can blame PopSugar for all of the yummy chocolate in my belly!  I love how little these are.  They’re the perfect taste of chocolate for when the mood strikes!  Now, if only I could stop at just one.  Suggested Retail: $6

Rifle Paper Co. Garance Doré Assorted Girls Set – I love this unique and gorgeous set of notecards!  I think it’s a nice touch to add stationary to the Must Have Box.  The gift of a handwritten note is a lovely and thoughtful gesture.  These notecards are so stylish!  Suggested Retail: $18

Letter C Designs Gold Foil Arrow Pencils – I’ve never seen such beautiful, classy looking pencils before!  They pair nicely with the notecards and would make a great gift together.  I love that they included a pencil sharpener, as well.  Suggested Retail:$5

Check out my coordinating video to hear about my favorites from July’s selections and see my reactions as I open these two boxes:

The giveaway is open internationally.  All entrants under the age of 18 must have parental permission to enter. One person will win all of the goodies pictured below:

  1. Your new aircut suits you so well ! Somehow it manages to look both cute and sophisticated at the same time. And you could probably even go a bit shorter if yoi wanted to, I am sure you would pull it off. Nice video as always thanks for taking the time to share 😉

  2. I absolutely love your videos! I have both my girls hooked on all your channels and now if they see you have a video up, they alert me. “JEN PUT UP A VIDEO!” They are Elisa 18 and Keyla (pronounced like Kayla) 14. We love you Don & Winnie!

  3. OMG! I really wish I still subscribed!!! I did earlier this year for three boxes, but felt that I never really got the value out of them… But I loved the boxes before I subscribed (which enticed me to do so) and I’m loving these now so…? Isn’t that how it always is? HA:)

  4. Great post…I only wish that Pop Sugar would ship to Canada!
I also have very narrow ear canals! Which eaerbud headphones do you use? I still haven’t found any that work!

    1. TBH I don’t use them very often as I only ever really use headphones on the plane and then I prefer my over the year noise canceling ones by Bose. I have a pair of earbuds from Roxy that I bought about 10 years ago that are my favorite but I haven’t seen those in stores in a long time. I think the Skull ones you can buy at Target & Best Buy have the small ear pieces and are not too expensive.
