Every January I like to share my Beauty All-Stars from the past year, including tried and true makeup, skincare, and hair and nail products that I’ve used and loved the most. I’m a bit late with my post this year, but I still wanted to share my favorites from 2015.

The asterisk(*) denotes repeat annual favorites from last year.
❊ Pacifica Ultra CC Cream Radiant Foundation – My skin did a total 180 during my pregnancy and was blemish free for most of the year, so I didn’t need a fuller coverage face base most of the time. I really like this light coverage CC foundation for its subtle luminizing effect.
❊ bareMinerals bareSkin Perfecting Veil – This powder became a holy grail staple for me last year. It’s lightweight and provides shine-free coverage without being cakey.
❊ First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy – After MAC discontinued my favorite under eye primer, I decided to give this one a go. The pale salmon color neutralizes any shadows. I especially like the metal applicator tip for its cooling effect.
❊ Makeup Forever Professional Full Cover Concealer* – The best concealer I’ve tried for covering up blemishes and discoloration. It blends seamlessly into the skin and stays put all day.
❊ Boscia Blotting Linens* – A longtime favorite of mine, these blotting papers offer a quick fix for oily skin. I keep one pack on my vanity and another in my purse for on-the-go touchups.
❊ Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray* – I’ve used this spray to set my makeup for years now and couldn’t imagine going without it. It helps keep my makeup on all day no matter how often I rub my eyes.
Eyes & Lips Makeup:
❊ bareMinerals 5-In-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow* – I love how this eyeshadow base acts as both a primer and evens out my eyelid skin tone. My favorite shade is Blushing Pink.
❊ Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – I come back to this palette time and time again for its amazing range of cool-toned neutrals. It has such a versatile selection of shades Plus, you can’t beat the pigmentation!
❊ Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – A new liquid eyeliner stole my heart in 2015! I am not very good at applying eyeliner, but this brush style fine-tipped one makes it super easy. Mad Max Brown is my go-to shade for everyday looks.
❊ Pacifica Aquarian Glaze Water-Resistant Long Lash Mineral Mascara – I’ve tried several mineral mascaras over the years with little success. They just never stay put! That all changed when I discovered Pacifica’s waterproof version. It stays all day with no flaking and gives the most natural, soft look.
❊ Urban Decay Brow Beater Microfine Brow Pencil & Brush – I’m always on the hunt for the next best brow pencil and I found a winner with Urban Decay’s newest version. It is super fine for precise application. I use taupe, the lightest shade, on my fairly dark brows for the most subtle and natural effect.
❊ Nars Brow Gel – My unruly brows need a good gel to keep them in place and I’ve so enjoyed this one from Nars over the past few months. It meets all of my criteria: clear, strong hold, not crunchy. Perfecto!
❊ Mineral Fusion Lipstick Butter in Ripe – It’s so hard to pick just one lipstick favorite for the year, but I definitely wore this one the most, especially during the summer and fall months. This beautiful neutral MLBB (My Lips But Better) color is my go-to when I want something natural and easy.
❊ Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Lipgloss in Love Buzz – What an awesome gloss! I absolutely love the formula, which is slightly thicker so it stays on longer without being tacky or gloppy. Love Buzz is the most beautiful rose gold shimmer. It’s very subtle on the lips, but adds a beautiful sheen.
❊ It Cosmetics Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation – I didn’t wear foundation a ton last year, but when I did I reached for this velvety soft brush. I feel like it does soak up more product than I would like, but it applies foundation beautifully with a soft touch so it’s a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion.
❊ Sigma F25 Tapered Face* – My favorite all-time powder brush, this tapered beauty makes it easy to apply with a light hand.
❊ Sigma F64 Soft Blend Concealer* – I use this brush to gently blend in my under eye concealer.
❊ Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter* – Perfectly shaped and sized to highlight!
❊ Chanel #2 Angled Powder* – The best bronzer brush ever in my opinion! The shape and density of the bristles makes applying bronzer a no brainer.
❊ It Cosmetics Flawless Blush* – I haven’t looked back since I started using this blush brush. It’s a bit smaller than other ones I’ve tried and fits my cheekbones perfectly.
❊ It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Jumbo Powder* – This dense brush is enormous! I use it to blend out bronzer and blush for a seamless finish.
❊ Sigma E57 Firm Shader* – The best lid eyeshadow brush if you have smaller eyelids like me!
❊ Sigma E47 Shader Crease* – Itty-bitty and perfectly shaped for precision work. I use this brush to apply darker shadows to the outer corner of my lids.
❊ Sigma E38 Diffused Crease* – Another brush I prefer because of its smaller than average size. The fluffy dome shape makes it easy to blend shadows.
❊ Sigma E30S Pencil* – A great little brush for small accents like the inner corner and lower lash line.
❊ Sigma E52 Soft Focus Shader* – I like to blend out the area between my crease and brow bone using a matte light shadow with this brush.
❊ MAC 208 Small Angled Brow Brush* – I use this on the occasions I apply shadow to my upper lash line.
❊ Suki Exfoliating Cleanser – I wash my face in the morning in the shower using this gentle scrub. It quickly dissolves into a light foam.
❊ Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk – I simplified my skincare routine when I became pregnant and fell in love with the Juice Beauty line for its safe and effective products. This cleanser is very mild, but gets the job done! I like to use it at night with my Clarisonic face brush.
❊ Homemade Face Toner – I make a concoction of half Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar and half Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin for my toner. I apply after cleansing morning and night using Shiseido Facial Cotton (like cloud puffs for your face!).
❊ Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer – I’ve gone through several pots of this rich moisturizer over the past 9+ months. It’s hydrating without feeling too heavy.
❊ Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream – My daytime moisturizer of choice, this CC cream adds light coverage to help smooth out the appearance of my skin without the need for additional face makeup.
❊ Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Wipes – I like to do my morning skincare routine after my shower, which I normally take after my workout and breakfast. I use these wipes first thing after I wake up to start the day off feeling fresh.
❊ Lancome Bi-Facil Dual Action Eye Makeup Remover* – The best eye makeup remover in my experience for gently and effectively removing waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
Bath & Body:
❊ Tree Hut Shea Body Scrub – Best. Scrub. Ever! Not too harsh, not too wimpy, great scent selection, and usually on sale at Ulta. Hard to beat!
❊ Pacifica Body Butter – I became a real fan of Pacifica products last year and went through countless tubes of this rich body butter. It takes a little work to blend into the skin, but it’s worth the extra effort for how soft and sweet-smelling it leaves you all day long!
❊ Pacifica Island Vanilla Hand Cream – A good hand cream is a constant staple for me as I tend to have super dry and beat up hands. I really like the hydrating yet light formula of this one by Pacifica. The tropical vanilla scent is a nice bonus.
❊ Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream – I need cuticle cream like a plant needs water to stave off hangnails. This one does the trick and I love the light lemon scent.
❊ LaVanila Sport Luxe Deodorant – I moved away from using anti-perspirant deodorants with my pregnancy and it took me awhile to find a more natural option that worked for me. I even tried several other LaVanila deodorants, which all failed, except for the sport luxe version. It’s all about trial and error and finding the right one that works with your body chemistry.
❊ Parfum Divine de Caudalie – I haven’t worn fragrance in a long time, but when I did from during the first part of 2015 I more often than not reached for this one. If you like the Caudalie Divine Oil, you’ll love this perfume of the same scent with notes of Pink Pepper, Grapefruit, Rose, Cedarwood, Vanilla, and White Musk.
Hair & Nails:
❊ Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo & Beautiful Lengths Conditioner – I haven’t had the best of luck with trying out mid-range shampoos and conditioners over the years. My super fine hair is super picky! I picked up this set for my husband and started using them when I ran out of my own and haven’t looked back since. My hair loves Pantene!
❊ Wet Brush – My favorite hair brush to date! It’s gentle on my fine hair and I really can’t ask for anything more from a brush.
❊ Mane Message Hair Ties* – The best hair ties that are not only gentle on hair but super cute as well.
❊ SpaRitual Garden of Eden – I surprisingly didn’t end up painting my nails a lot last year. My favorite polish that I used was this beautiful rose terra cotta shimmery shade. It’s a beautiful year-round color that I especially enjoyed in the summer and fall.
